Hello Therm O Web friends. Shemaine here today sharing some cards I created with Deco Foil Hot Foils, NEW Gina K. Designs Flower Medley Poly-Glaze Foiling Sheets and NEW Gina K. Designs for Therm O Web Fancy Foils.
I love creating floral-themed cards with fun accents. These cards came together rather quickly because the Poly-Glaze Foiling Sheets are so easy to use.
I started these cards by using the NEW Gina K. Designs Black Onyx Fancy Foils transfer foil with the Flower Medley Poly-Glaze sheets. I ran both through the Fuse Foiling System inside a Deco Foil Craft & Carrier Sheet.
The result is similar to a stamped and embossed image, but faster. Now it’s ready for some color.
I used some Gina K. Designs dye inks to color these flowers with a blending brush. The Flower Medley Coloring Stencil is part of the Sending Flowers Card Kit that Gina released last month on her website. While the kit is sold out, the individual components – like the coloring stencil and the stamp/die bundle – will be restocked separately on her website.
Once I had them colored, I cut them out with the coordinating Flower Medley dies. I ended up not using the Poly-Glaze Foiling Sheet sentiments, but they are included in the package with the flower designs.
I always love to add a little bling to the center of the flowers.
Next, using our Deco Foil Gold Hot Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System and a hot foil plate from Spellbinders, I placed the hot foil over the hot foil plate, color side down, and then placed a sheet of kraft cardstock over the foil and ran it thru the Spellbinders die cutting machine to transfer the gold foil onto the cardstock. This can only be done with hot foils, not regular transfer foils.
Next, I adhered the kraft cardstock to a card base and then added some arch die cuts.
Next, I hot foiled a gold “for you” sentiment for the card and adhered it to the base with our XL Tape Runner. I added the flowers with our 3D Foam Squares and added some die-cut foliage and finished the card with a cute die-cut butterfly.
The finished card turned out pretty cute!
I hot foiled a second kraft base to create a different design using only two flowers and adding some paper roses from my stash.
The finished card is a different look on the same background.
Here are both cards together.
