Hi everyone!
Chrissie here with you today. I have a card to share that I created using both Thermoweb and Ranger Simon Hurley products! Oh, and I also have a little sneak peek at the end of this post with a second card I created that is part of our Instagram Hop!
Hot Air Balloon Friendship Cards with Simon Hurley
Supplies:
Deco Foil Transfer Sheets, Mystic Rainbow
Deco Foil Stencil Pal, 2 PK
Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo, 4 fl oz
iCraft Memory Tape Runner XL (50ft)
iCraft 3D Double-sided Adhesive Foam Squares (White), Combo Pack
Ranger/Simon Hurley Clear Skies Lunar Paste
Ranger/Simon Hurley Going Places Stamp Set
Ranger/Simon Hurley Going Places Stencils
Ranger/Simon Hurley Funky Argyle Stamp
Catherine Pooler Inks
Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils
To create this card, I stamped the Funky Argyle stamp onto some cardstock, using watermark ink. Then, I heat embossed it with some white embossing powder. I used some brushes to add ink and then I sprayed it with some water. I also flicked some ink onto it by stamping it onto my glass mat and then adding water with a water brush. I think it gives several different interesting layers for that background!
I stamped the images from the Going Places stamp set and colored them in with colored pencils and I used Gamsol to blend everything. Now, most importantly – I created the clouds! For the blue cloud, I simply used the Going Places stencil with the Lunar Paste and my amazing Stencil Pal. For that foiled cloud, I used DecoFoil Transfer Gel DUO with my Stencil Pal. As soon as it was dry, I used the new Mystic Rainbow foil and ran it through my die cutting machine (the way I would emboss) and the foil adhered perfectly. I cut out the clouds.
I assembled everything using my 3D foam squares and XL tape runner. I am just loving the way that cloud shines. That is the first thing I see when I look at the card, which is just love! Who doesn’t want a shimmery cloud?!?!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Don’t forget to check out our Instagram Hop – we are showcasing more goodies from Therm O Web and Ranger Simon Hurley!
