Many of you know Therm O Web for their fabulous line-up of sewing and quilting products and adhesives, but did you know that they also make fun embellishments, too? Today I have a couple of cards to share with you featuring the adorable Basic Grey Second City collection and lots of Therm O Web goodies, including one of their newer products, Glitter Dust™ Photo Frames.
For my first card, I used a purple scalloped circle Glitter Dust™ frame to highlight the focal feature of my design. Love how the printed chipboard and flair button nestle perfectly within the frame. Layering the frame with additional die cuts and embellishments draws lots of attention to my focal point, and is a great tip when using smaller accent pieces, like the flair button. I used 3D Adhesive Squares on the sentiment strip for a bit of extra dimension and drama, too.

6×6 Paper Pad
Printed Chipboard Shapes
Die Cuts & Transparencies
Metal Flair
Candy Buttons- Teal and Pink
Therm O Web
Glitter Dust™ Scallop Circle Frame Assortment- Purple
Memory Tape Runner XL
3D Adhesive Squares
Zots™ Clear Adhesive Dots- Medium
My second card also features one of the purple Glitter Dust™ frames, this time from the Vintage Frame assortment. And once again I layered the frame along with lots of fun Second City die cuts and embellishments to create a focal point with lots of interest. And as before, I adhered some of the layers with 3D adhesive squares for a sense of depth and dimension.
To ensure that the sentiment transparency would be visible, I layered the die cut onto white cardstock first, and trimmed around the edges. Need a trick for adhering transparencies? Therm O Web’s 1/8″ SuperTape™ placed strategically on the colored borders of the die cut hold the sentiment firmly in place without showing any adhesive.

And we’re fortunate to have a peek at this stunning canvas Basic Grey Designer Kim Price created using our Adhesives…take a look!
Here are some notes from Kim on how she made this stunning canvas…
I used the Zots™ Adhesive Dots (LOVE how these turned out) as a dimensional element on the canvas, a row of Zots™ along the top edge and another smaller row along one of the canvas sides – I’ve included photographs of these details. I also used the Foam Squares dimensional adhesive in a similar way, placing a row of these at the bottom right of the canvas. The flower centre is raised as well using the foam squares, but it did not photograph well so I left that one out.
In addition I have used the strong Super Tape™ permanent red tape to adhere my Basic Grey papers in place.
I have used patterned papers from Basic Grey Grand Bazaar, coordinating the colours to work in with this collection – matte acrylic paint, paint markers, a sharpie, opaque mists
Stunning wouldn’t you say!!
