There are so many things you can do with Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts – alcohol markers, watercolor, ink blending … endless possibilities! Today I decided to stick to just simple foiling and cut up one of the new Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts and use the floral images as individual flowers instead of a full background! There are five colors of foil being featured this month in the ThermOWeb shop and I used all five of them on my card!

Slimline Blossom Buddies Toner Sheet

I used a slimline toner sheet so that I would have plenty of flowers to cut out. I cut strips of Lilac and Ocean Blue Deco Foil Transfer Sheets as well as Twinkling Pink Gina K Designs Fancy Foil and placed them on top of my slimline toner sheet slightly overlapping them so that I wouldn’t have any gaps in the foiling.

You want to be sure that the back of the foil touches the toner and the pretty side of the toner faces up. I used a Deco Foil Parchment Sheet as a carrier and ran the sandwich through my laminator. This resulted in SO MANY pretty flowers! I wanted to keep the background light and springy, so while my laminator was out I decided to do a bit more foiling. I used a Dainty Hearts A2 Toner Card Front and foiled it with Jade Deco Foil.

I used my scissors and fussy cut around the flowers and leaves and set them to the side so I could finish the rest of my card. I wanted somewhere for all of my flowers to sit, so I cut two stitched circles – one kraft and one white – using a Stitched Circles Die Set. The only other thing I need for this card is a sentiment and I have one last color of the foil to feature!

I adhered a strip of an iCraft 6×6 Easy Cut Adhesive Sheet onto a piece of white cardstock, peeled back the backer, and covered it with a piece of Orange Sketch Brutus Monroe Foil. Just like with the toner, the pretty side of the foil should be up and the backside should be against the adhesive. I used the My Favorite Things Sweet Hello Die Set and ran the sentiment die through my machine. Now I have a bright, shiny sentiment!

All that’s left is to assemble the card! I used iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to adhere my floral cluster together and then added it to the stitched circles with Gina K Designs White Foam Squares. This whole card shines! The hearts in the background, the flowers, AND the sentiment! And it was fast and simple to make! I hope you’ll take a second look at your Deco Foil Toner Card Fronts and see how you can cut them up to bring them new life!
