Mothers Day is coming up and my mother in law is a gardener and plant keeper extraordinaire. When she visits our house, she revives our plants because were not so good at it. So how about sewing up some plant rugs for soaking up drips and adding some color?
Basically a plant rug is an oversized mug rug. I stitched up a couple of sizes to suit different sizes of pots. Using Heat n Bond® Lite I sketched out some ovals and wavy lines right onto the paper side of the fusible webbing. After cutting them out and ironing them on I stitched around them leaving their raw edges.
Quilting and binding was all that was left to complete these plant rugs.
Enjoy!
