Have A Sloth-y Christmas! Card with Newton’s Nook
YAY! We’re so excited about this week! We’ve teamed up again with our sweet friends at Newton’s Nook for another fab Inspiration Week with our two design teams.
This means for you FIVE days of non-stop inspiration and fun and that’s not all. It also means a chance for you to enter to win on BOTH of our blogs for some fun prizes!
So be sure to join us here every day and then visit the Newton’s Nook blog too!
To kick things off … Chrissie Tobas has some holiday Sloth-y cards to share and a video tutorial too!
Hi, Chrissie here! I have two cute Sloth-y cards to share with you today. I created both cards using Newton’s Nook stamps and Thermoweb supplies.
I created both of these cards using the Inlaid Die Cut technique. It’s a simple thing to do, but adds a lot of interest to each creation!
Supplies Needed:
3D WHITE FOAM SQUARES • COMBO PACK
GINA K. DESIGNS PERMANENT ADHESIVE DOT RUNNER
ICRAFT ULTRA BOND ADHESIVE 6 FL OZ
Grass Green, Jelly Bean Green Ink (Gina K. Designs)
Slothy Christmas Stamp Set (Newton’s Nook)
Ornament Shaker Die (Newton’s Nook)
VersaFina Onyx Black Ink (Tsukineko)
AquaBlend Pencils (Spectrum Noir)
Clear Sparkle Marker (Spectrum Noir)
Waterbrush (Crafter’s Companion)
I have a video, sharing this process, below:
In the quick video above, I share how easy it is to use the Ornament Shaker Die and turn it into an Inlaid Die Cut background by using Thermoweb adhesives! Almost any die cut will work with this technique and it really does add that extra something to each card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will give this technique a try!
Here’s a peek of one of the many fun projects you’ll find this week on the blog! Don’t miss a day!
Be sure to take time to go visit our friends at Newton’s Nook and see what their team has created! Before you go…please take a moment to get yourself entered to win a $25 Gift Card to shop with us!

November 5, 2018 at 11:42 am (6 years ago)The sloth is just adorable. I need him. I also love the snowmen group. Perfect for a group of friends.
Also, you mentioned which Lawn Fawn product i like best, but I think you made a boo boo. But I will answer anyway: The mice are my favorite. They are sweet and cute.
