Hello friends and Happy almost New Year! It’s Juliana and today I’m sharing how to create a Happy New Year Shaker Card using Therm O Web Deco Foil and Clear Toner Sheets. With a mix of gold and silver, this card is perfect to celebrate the ringing in of the New Year!

Clear Toner Sheets

To begin creating this Happy New Year Shaker Card take a Deco Foil Cheers Clear Toner Sheet and Deco Foil Starry Night Clear Toner Sheet. Cut each of them to 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Cover the Cheers sheet with Silver Deco Foil and place it inside a piece of folded parchment paper. For added stability, place a piece of cardstock inside the parchment paper as well. Run the entire piece through a preheated Laminator.

Once the piece comes out of the laminator, remove the transfer sheets to reveal the foiled design. Repeat this process for the Starry Night Clear Toner Sheet using Gold Deco Foil. Set these to the side for later.

Shaker Box

Now, it’s time to create the shaker box frame. Use a frame die (Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies) to cut 5 frames from white cardstock. Glue the 5 cardstock frames together using iCraft Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive to create your shaker box.

The next step is to adhere the foiled Designer Toner Sheet to the back side of the shaker box. Once again, use the iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive to do this. Glue one down, let it dry and then glue the other one on top of it.

Fill the frame with your choice of sequins, beads or confetti. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inches and glue it on top to cover the shaker box and help hold the sequins inside.

To create the gold frame on the top of the shaker box, die cut a piece of iCraft® Deco Foil™ Toner Sheet using the same frame die you used above. Place a piece of Gold Deco Foil on top of this, place it inside a piece of folded parchment paper and run it through a preheated Laminator. Adhere the foiled frame to the front of your shaker box.

Complete the card with a sentiment of your choice. If you have a laser printer you can print your own and foil it using Silver Deco Foil.
