Hi, everyone! Lynnea here with a fun textured Halloween card! We are in the middle of a heatwave where I live, so I’m definitely ready for cooler temperatures! I’ve never been a summer lover – instead, I thrive when the breeze is chilly and everything smells like apple cider! I couldn’t wait to pull out my Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets and create a Halloween themed card!

Happy Halloween Card

Ink Blending

I’m a super texture oriented person – I touch everything just to see what it feels like! There are so many different visual and physical textures on this card! I am just giddy with the way it turned out! This card requires a decent amount of die-cutting, but in the end, you could make at least 4 cards if you wanted to! I started with some simple ink blending onto a piece of white cardstock slightly larger than a card front. I started at the bottom and used Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks to create a yellow gradient. This card is all about texture, so I added some flicks of water to the background and set it aside to dry.

Deco Foil Flock

Then I used iCraft Easy Cut 6 x 6 Adhesive Sheets to completely cover 4 pieces of A2 sized white cardstock. I covered 3 of those sheets with Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets by removing the adhesive backing and placing it face down into the Flock Transfer Sheets. I used classic Halloween colors – Orange Glow, Green Envy, and Black Velvet. Once the Flock Transfer Sheets adhered to the cardstock pieces I ran them through my die cutting machine to press the Flock Transfer Sheets into the iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive Sheets. I still have one adhesive covered piece of cardstock left!

This time I removed the adhesive backing and placed a piece of Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil face up into the adhesive and rubbed my fingers over the top to make sure all of the foil transferred to the adhesive. It’s important to remember that Flock Transfer Sheets go face DOWN into the adhesive and Foil Transfer Sheets go face UP into the adhesive. Check out my video to see just what I mean! Now comes the fun part! I used the Neat & Tangled Warm Winter Scene Cover Die and cut all three pieces of flocked cardstock and my original Distress Inked panel holding the die in place with some 1/2 Inch Purple Tape. I left my foiled piece go as is – this is just going to be a peek through background panel.

Assemble The Card

Now it’s time to assemble! I used iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to glue my die-cut yellow inked piece to the foiled background panel. This is the negative part of the die cut and all I had to do is puzzle piece in the flocked houses! Since I die cut the cover plate from 4 different panels you could definitely create 4 cards just like this! Unfortunately, my mom life was calling and I didn’t have the time – but I saved all of my little flocked pieces for another time! I ended up alternating black, orange, and green houses and the pattern looked fabulous!

I used iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to glue in all the little houses, but you could definitely have added another piece of iCraft Easy Cut Adhesive to the back of the flocked panels before die cutting for even easier assembly! I let the Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil peek through the windows of the houses and the trees! All that was left was to stamp and glitter a sentiment and add it to my card with Gina K Designs Black Foam Squares! I’m completely OBSESSED with all of the textures in this card!
