Happy Fall Banner Instructions
Adhere a piece of iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive to kraft coloured cardstock, remove the backing paper and cover with Orange Glow Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets (remember, fuzzy side down when transferring the flock!) Burnish well to transfer the flock (or run it through your die-cutting machine or foil laminator on the cold setting) and remove the Flock backing paper. Die-cut the Jackolanterns, lightly inking the mouths, eyes, and noses with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Cover white and kraft cardstock with more iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive, covering the white cardstock with Tuscan Gold Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet and the kraft cardstock with both Orange Glow and Green Envy Flock. Die-cut a variety of Arbor leaves from all the flocked cardstocks, inking the die-cut flocked leaves with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Cover more white cardstock with iCraft Easy-Cut Adhesive and Tuscan Gold Flock and die cut the Layered Leaf and the top pieces of the Blueprint Leaf from it. From Green Envy Flock covered cardstock die cut the bottom leaf with the Blueprint Leaf die. Layer the Tuscan Gold flocked leaf parts on top of the Green Envy flocked leaf, popping them up on Gina K. Designs Black Foam Squares. Emboss the Tuscan Gold Layered Leaf with the accompanying Texture Fades embossing folder and ink the raised embossed areas with Distress Inks in shades of orange and red.
Heat up your foil laminator and foil half a sheet of the Endless Leaves Clear Toner Sheet with Copper Deco Foil Foil Transfer Sheet.
From a piece of Teal Waters Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheet, die cut the words ‘happy fall’ with the Handmade Alphabet die. Die-cut another set of letters from kraft cardstock to layer behind the flocked letters.
Cut a piece of white cardstock just slightly larger than your Endless Leaves foiled Clear Toner sheet and ink it with Distress inks in shades of tan and brown (Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap).
Layer the foiled Endless Leaves Clear Toner sheet on top of the inked cardstock and sew around the edges with your sewing machine. I always tell you to sew a couple of messy lines because that’s the only kind of sewing I can do! ** If you don’t have a Display Hanger, you can sew on a piece of ribbon or twine to the top of your banner to display it at this point**
Arrange your flocked leaves on the banner background and adhere in place with iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive.
Arrange the flocked pumpkins on top of the leaves and adhere in place with Ultra Bond Adhesive. Add bits of moss underneath the pumpkins if desired. Layer the kraft die-cut letters under the Teal Waters Flock letters, offsetting them slightly for a shadow line. Adhere the words ‘happy fall’ to the top of the banner with Ultra Bond Adhesive.
Ink the Display Hanger with Alcohol inks (Rust, Sepia, and Mushroom). Add the sentiment with Words Remnant Rubs. Ink three charms (a couple of leaves and a squirrel were used here) with the same colours of Alcohol inks and attach them to the hanger with split jump rings. Attach your banner to the hanger clips and you are done!
Here are a few closeups of the finished Happy Fall banner.
Hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing how my project came together and that you’ve been inspired to do some of your own fall creating with the wonderful new colours of Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets. Have a great week and happy creating,
Deb xo
