No Tricks Just Treats Scrapbook Layout

I started this layout with a sheet of solid orange cardstock from the Close to My Heart Fa-BOO-lous collection and sprayed some Distress Oxide in Crackling Campfire across the bottom portion of my background. I reached for my gorgeous Gina K Glitter Glitz Gel in Black and added bats through a stencil on top of the mixed media with my stencil pal. I then added splatters of distress oxides and Nuvo Shimmer Spray in Morning Fog and set that aside to dry. I did cut it down to 11.5”x11.5” so I could attach a border around all the edges with one of the patterned sheets in the collection.

Next, I went to work on my foil and flock bits. I pulled out the Haunted Toner Sheets by Brutus Monroe while my laminator was heating up and cut some of the Black Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to completely cover it. Once my laminator was heated, I ran it through to transfer the foil to the toner sheet. I then cut out some of the haunted houses for use as die cuts on my layout. They came out so shiny, I just love them! While my laminator was heated, I also sandwiched my background between a craft and carrier sheet and ran that through to dry up my mixed media and take the warping out of my paper. Worked like a charm!

I then grabbed some white flock transfer sheets and stamped some ghosts and skeletons from the coordinating stamp & die set in the Fa-BOO-lous collection and I stamped some with Black Archival Ink. It was easy to cut them out using the coordinating die set and my manual die cutting machine and now I have cute fuzzy flocked critters to embellish my layout with! I ended up cutting the center from one of the patterned papers and using that to back my photos with after distressing the edges. Then I used the remaining piece for my border around my page, adhering with some easy tear tape. I attached my photos and embellishments with my Memory XL tape runner.

I finished this layout up by adding my title with Elle’s Studio and Bella Blvd alphas and added some more embellishments from the CTMH collection. I’ve also added some epoxy flair from Scrappin’ Happy Studio. I’ve also added some thread bits behind each of the flairs and some phrases from Pretty Little Studio.
