Hello everyone! Juliana from 17turtles here, to share a fun Halloween home decor piece I created with Therm O Web’s awesome Deco Foil™ and adhesives! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love to decorate my home, so what better way is there than to do it with my favorite Therm O Web products?! I’ve also provided you with a free printable – Halloween Bottle Labels, that you can download and use to create your own Halloween home decor project.
This project begins with a 16 x 20″ wood pallet from Jillibean Soup and MDF bottle shapes I found at my local craft store. I wanted the bottles to looks like glass, so I selected Deco Foil in Black, Purple and Spring Green – perfect Halloween colors, to achieve this look. Keep reading for all the details on how to create your own Halloween home decor piece.
Therm O Web Supplies:
Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets – Black, Purple, Spring Green
Deco Foil™ PeelNStick Toner Sheets
iCraft® Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive
SuperTape™ Roll 1/2″
12″ Foil Laminator
Halloween Bottle Label – FREE Printable
Project Instructions:
Trace each of the bottles onto the back side of PeelNStick™ Toner Sheets. Because these bottles are larger than the Toner Sheets, I traced part of the bottle to create 2 pieces. I recommend dividing up the pieces so they are covered by the patterned paper in order to hide any unsightly seams.
Cut out the shapes from the Peel N Stick Toner Sheets. Adhere your selected Deco Foil™ color to the corresponding bottle shape by running it through your preheated Laminator. Peel off the backing and stick it the the front of the bottle. Trim off any overlapping excess with scissors or a craft knife.
Using iCraft® Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive, adhere patterned paper to the center of each bottle to create the look of a label. Trim off any excess with scissors or a craft knife. For a more distressed look, ink the edges of the paper.
Print and cut out the Halloween bottle labels. Distress labels with ink using Distress Ink and a foam blending tool. Adhere to the front of the bottle using iCraft Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive.
Wrap jute around the top of each bottle. Adhere in place with iCraft Super Tape™ on the back side of the bottles.
Use a Krylon Silver Leafing Pen to color the black plastic spider. Use a 3D Zot™, cut in half, to attach the plastic spider to one of the bottles.
Adhere 3 strips of 1″ wide basswood, from your local craft store, to the back side of the largest bottle using iCraft® Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive. Attach all bottles to the wood pallet using 3D White Foam Sticky Strips.
Here is the free printable – Halloween Bottle Labels, for you do download and use to create your own home decor project. If you have a laser printer, you could also print these and Deco Foil them to add even more shiny spookiness to your project!
