Hi there! It’s Andrea with you today sharing two gnome, holiday cards in non-traditional colors. Gnomes are hugely popular right now, and the Gnome for the Holiday Kit allows you to create all kinds of gnomes for all seasons.
Gnome Holiday Cards
Aren’t those gnomes adorable?! I love that you can customize their hats and the trees!
Adding Flock to a Die-cut Image
I began both cards by die-cutting the various elements from cardstock. For a bit of dimension, I added shading to the die-cuts with Copics. After spraying the back of the Gnome for the Holidays stencil with Pixie Spray, I applied Transfer Gel Blanco to the hats. Once the gel was dry, I used my laminator to add Deco Foil Flock in the colors Think Pink, Green Envy, and Purple Punch.
Adding Foil to a Die-cut
After adding Copic shading to the trees, I applied Transfer Gel Blanco through the stencil. Once the gel was dry, I used my laminator to add Deco Foil in the colors Lily Pad, Glass Slipper, Prince Periwinkle, and Red.
Happy Holidays Card
I blended the top half of an A2 panel of white cardstock with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink and heat-embossed a sentiment from the stamp set. I adhered the trees with a combination of Mixed Media Adhesive and Gina K. Designs White Foam Squares. After trimming off the overhang from the trees, I adhered the panel to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL.
I assembled the gnome with Mixed Media Adhesive and adhered him to my card with two layers of foam squares. I flicked some shimmer spray over the card and finished with a scattering of snowflake sequins attached with Mixed Media Adhesive.
Chillin’ with My Gnomies Card
I assembled the gnomes with Mixed Media Adhesive and then set them aside to work on the background.
Adding Glitz Glitter Gel to a Background
Onto a 5″ x 7″ panel of white cardstock, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the stamp set. I masked the sentiment with Purple Tape and then applied Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel through a stencil. Once the gel was dry, I adhered the panel to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL.
I adhered the gnomes with foam squares and my card was done!
