Gnome Card General Directions

Most of the die cuts shown here were cut from cardstock. The white beards and black and purple hats are all flocked; flock gives card elements a unique, velvety texture that’s so fun to touch. To create flocked die cuts:
Cut pieces of Deco Foil Foam Adhesive slightly larger than dies.
Peel back liner from foam and adhere to cardstock. Die-cut beards and hats from cardstock-backed foam; cardstock will help prevent foam from stretching out of shape.
Peel the front liner from foam and place shape, sticky side down, onto the colored side of flock sheet.
Run the piece through the die-cutting machine on a wafer-thin die setting to transfer flock; gently peel shape from flock sheet.
You can also watch a video about Deco Foil Flock HERE.
To create various skin tones for gnomes, blend Gina K. Designs Amalgam Inks onto white cardstock and let dry; die-cut noses and hands from inked cardstock.
When assembling card elements, use UltraBond Adhesive Pen to glue cardstock pieces together; use 3D Foam Squares behind beards, hats, hands, and nose, if desired, for extra dimension. Use Tape Runner XL to adhere card layers together; use 3D Foam Squares if an extra dimension is desired.

Happy Fall Gnome Apple Tree Card

Ink blend sky and ground onto white cardstock panel, using edges of Gnome for the Holidays stencil to create a rounded hill. Stencil cloud onto the panel using Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco; let dry for 1 hour. You can watch a video about Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco HERE.

Die-cut pieces from cardstock or Deco Foil Foam Adhesive, using the photo as a guide. Stamp pattern onto hat using matching ink.

Before assembling cards, stencil apples onto cardstock trees using Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO. Let the gel dry until clear and then apply Radiant Red Fancy Foil using pressure from a die-cutting machine; peel away foil sheet to reveal shiny finish. You can watch a video about Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO HERE.

Shrink Film Gnome Charm

Die-cut following shapes from opaque white shrink film: feet, hands, nose, body, beard, hat, pom pom, coffee cup and lid, coffee emblem, pumpkin, pumpkin stem. In addition, cut a 1”x6” strip from shrink film; punch a ¼” hole at one end.
Color desired pieces with alcohol ink markers; let dry a few minutes. Follow shrink film package directions to bake pieces, making sure they are widely spaced on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Note: Shrink film bakes to about one-third the size of the original die-cut pieces. Let cool completely.
Using Super Glue and tweezers, assemble gnome pieces on a white strip. Allow curing 24 hours. Insert jump ring and lobster clasp. A charming gift idea!

Spooky Skull Card

To create the sky, stencil stars onto black cardstock square using Gina K. Designs Silver Glitz Glitter Gel; let dry 1 hour. You can watch a video about Glitz Glitter Gel HERE.
Hand-cut hill from Honey Mustard cardstock. Die-cut additional pieces from cardstock or Deco Foil Foam Adhesive, using the photo as a guide. To “age” white cardstock skull, very lightly blend Jelly Bean Green and Prickly Pear inks onto the white die-cut skull.

To create a foiled background, preheat the laminator to HOT or 5mil setting. Cut a panel from Holiday Sparkle & Shine Foil-Mates. Cut a piece of Dazzling Orange Fancy Foil slightly larger than the panel. Place foil, color side up, on top of Foil-Mate, and place inside a folded piece of parchment paper. Insert a stack into the laminator, using the crease as the lead edge. Peel away foil sheet to reveal shiny finish.

Happy Halloween Wizard Card

Create a watercolor background using Gel Press Monoprinting Plate, Gina K. Designs dye inks and water. Apply Jelly Bean Green, Sweet Corn, and Tomato Soup inks onto Gel Press in a random pattern. Use fingertips to flick water onto inks, allowing ink to pool and blend as it will. Lay white cardstock panel down into inks and press lightly; lift and continue pressing back down until all ink is absorbed. Let the panel dry completely.
Stamp Happy Halloween banner using Black Onyx ink.

Die-cut pieces from cardstock or Deco Foil Foam Adhesive, using a photo as a guide. Hand-cut wand from black cardstock; glue left hand over end of the wand.
Stamp pumpkins onto die-cut pumpkins using matching ink. Stamp facial features using Black Onyx ink.
