Hi Everyone! It’s Susie Moore from the Gina K. Designs Design Team. I am a very clean and simple stamper, but I have no problem adding some sparkle to any of my designs. I have two cards to share with you today. Because I wasn’t able to decide which one I liked more, you get to see them both!
I’ve used the new Therm-o-Web/Gina K. Designs StampnStencil™ system and the new Glitz Glitter Gel to create today’s cards.
StampnStencil Cards
Here is my first card which really makes my heart happy.
I started my card by inking the background with the vine stamp from the ThermOWeb/Gina K. Designs Petals and Wings stamp set. Doing second generation stamping with a new ink color from Gina K. Designs called Soft Stone really made the background light and airy. I used the Soft Stone card stock for the mat on my sentiment circle. This is the softest grey I’ve seen and it adds such an elegant feel.
While I had the vine stamp out I stamped some in Key Lime ink and then die cut them all. Next, I stamped and die cut all of my flowers from the same set. Oh – and then the magic began! I got out my Glitz Glitter Gels in Wild Lilac, Bubblegum, Sweet Mango, Gold, and Turquoise Sea. Using the stencil I applied the Glitz Glitter Gel to each flower.
I didn’t know exactly what to expect so I just stared at them for a while!! A little happy dance ensued once all the flowers were dry and then I felt like a fairy princess had beautified all of my flowers!
I rarely have a real plan in mind when I start creating, but after a while, I came upon the idea of making a wreath with all my glittery lovelies. It came together so quickly that it amazed me! After I stamped my sentiment, I just added a few enamel hearts and then a few enamel dots around my wreath.
Now here is my next card which is much simpler and pretty bright!
This card uses the second new StampnStencil™ system stamp, stencil and die combination which is called Crazy Daisy. But first — the STENCIL! I absolutely love the huge vine stencil in the set. And that Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel just knocked my socks off!
It only seemed right to use it again on my stamped and die cut daisy. I chose Wild Dandelion for my daisy since the sentiment referenced sunshine. The Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel really makes it pop too! I added a black enamel dot to compliment the sentiment color.
This was a simple card to create. You could easily mass produce this one!
