Guess what we’re up to this week? We’ve teamed up with our friends at Taylored Expressions to combine our two amazing products to bring you a week of amazing ideas!

Taylored Expressions is known for their adorable stamps and dies and when you pair up with our Deco Foil products and core line of adhesives..it’s a perfect match!

Our second projects today is from Katrina Hunt! Wait till you see these cards! (did we tell you we love dogs?!)

Hey there!  I hope you are enjoying our Taylored Expressions projects that we are sharing!  It’s Katrina here today from Paper, Scissors and Glue to share a couple of cards I made using the same basic techniques for both!

Supplies:

Therm O Web Sticky Dot Mini Runner
Therm O Web 3D Foam Squares-Combo Pack
Therm O Web Zots™ – Medium
Therm O Web Zots™ – Bling
Taylored Expressions Embossing Folder-Bead Board
Taylored Expressions Stamp and Die Combo-Quick Critters Stamp and Die Combo

Other Supplies: Cardstock-American Crafts; Ribbon-May Arts; Sequins-We R Memory Keepers; Ink-Memento

I tend to make the same size card all the time, 5×5 inches.  It’s like an old shoe that just fits me.  This also leads to being able to know what sizes to cut my layers or at least have an idea.

Here’s the first card.  I used a repeating die in different papers to create a trio of funny little dogs.

Cut card base at 10×5 inches, fold in half. Cut background paper at 4.75×4.75 inches and adhere to card base with Sticky Dot Mini Runner.

For next layer, cut two strips of the same pattern at 1.5×3.5 inches.  Cut one strip of coordinating paper at 1.25×3.5 inches.  Use a scrap piece of paper and adhere the strips to the scrap with Sticky Dot Mini Runner. This will make it easier to line up the strips and keep them straight.  Adhere to card front with 3D Foam Squares.

Cut another strip 1.5×4 inches and attach in the middle of the strips with the Sticky Dot runner. Die cut animals in different papers.  Back open heart area with some pink pattern paper.

Stamp faces on die cuts and attach to card front with the 3D Foam Squares.  Add sequins using Zots™ Bling.

For my next card I kept it pretty simple, just stamping the sayings and hand cutting a large heart for my card front.  I used the Taylored Expressions embossing folder-Bead Board to emboss my pattern paper under my heart.

Cut another card base at 10×5 inches and fold in half.

Cut pattern paper to 5.5×5.5 inches and then use with the embossing folder.  Then cut the pattern paper at 4.75×4.75 inches. This will let you trim exactly where you want on the embossing.

Add a strip of ribbon across the front, attaching the ends with Zots™-Medium.  Make a separate bow and attach with a Zot to ribbon strip.  Hand cut a large heart and attached to card front with 3D Foam Squares.  Stamp sayings in black ink on white cardstock and apply to front of card.  Add sequins with Zots™-Bling
