Fourth of July Foiled Patriotic Party Decor
Hello friends! The Fourth of July will be here soon, so now’s the perfect time to begin crafting some DIY party decor using Therm O Web Foils and Adhesives! This is Juliana from 17turtles and today I’m sharing some Fourth of July Foiled Party Decor ideas using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils.
Foiled Drink Tags
To create these foiled drink tags, select the Gina K Designs Foil-Mates™ Label Borders. Line up the coordinating Gina K Designs Nested Label Dies with the Label Borders and cut them out using a die cutting machine. Use Therm O Web Purple Tape to help hold the die in place and give you a perfectly aligned die cut.
Use the star dies from the Gina K Designs Nest Rectangles Single Stitched Dies to embellish the tags. Cut them from a piece of Therm O Web iCraft Peel N Stick Toner Sheets. Foil the stars using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Silver Sequins. Adhere them to the label using 3D Foam Squares. Stamp the sentiment from the Gina K Designs Stamp N Foil Time to Celebrate Stamp Set in the center of the label.
To turn these labels into tags, punch a small hole in one end. Use a piece of jute to tie it on to a glass milk bottle or mason jar. They are now ready for your favorite Fourth of July beverage!
Foiled Pinwheel Cupcake Picks
To create the Foiled Pinwheel Cupcake Picks, cut a Gina K Designs Foil-Mates Backgrounds Stars and Stripes into 2.5 x 2.5-inch squares. Foil these squares using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Radiant Red.
Use a ruler and pencil to lightly draw diagonal lines from opposite corners. This will help determine the center of the pinwheel. Measure out a 1/4″ along each line from the center and draw a small line. This is where you will stop cutting. Take a pair of scissors and cut along each line down to the small line. Use a 1/16″ hole punch to punch a hole in 4 of the corners. Poke or punch a hole in the center of the pinwheel. Erase all of the pencil marks.
To avoid having the paper crease when you begin to create the pinwheels, wrap each section around a pencil to help soften the paper. Poke a small brad through each of the holes to assemble the pinwheel.
Now it’s time to embellish the pinwheels. Use the star dies from the Gina K Designs Nest Rectangles Single Stitched Dies and die cut some from a piece of Therm O Web iCraft Peel N Stick Toner Sheets. Foil these die cuts using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Brilliant Blue . Adhere the stars to the center of the pinwheels using 3D Foam Squares. To complete the pinwheel, adhere a wooden food safe pick to the backside using a Zot. They are now ready to insert into your favorite yummy cupcake!
Fourth of July Foiled Sign
For the final bit of Fourth of July Foiled Party Decor, you can create a simple sign to place on your table. Begin with a wooden frame. This particular frame is 6×6 inches and is available at your local JoAnn store.
Next, die cut the large label design from the Gina K Designs Foil-Mates™ Label Borders. Make sure to use Purple Tape to help keep the die in place as you run it through your die cutting machine. Foil this piece with Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Radiant Red. Die cut the sentiment from the Gina K Designs Foil-Mates™ Birthday Bash Set using the Gina K Designs Double Stitched Oval Die Set. Foil this piece using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils in Brilliant Blue. Attach this to the center of the label piece using 3D Foam Squares. Finally, adhere it to the center of the frame using Memory Tape Runner XL.
