Welcome to the last day of the Newton’s Nook Design and ThermOWeb collaboration Blog Hop! The Design Team members from both companies were sharing inspiration the whole week using products from both companies! Let me, Ellen, share the last projects of the week…

Flock and Foil Cards with Newton’s Nook and Deco Foil

As you can see, I did make two cards again (as usual). Below I briefly tell you how I made one of the cards.

First of all, I transferred the foil to a toner card front. For this, I used the Silver Sequins Fancy Transfer foil and one of the Blossom Buddies card fronts.

How can you transfer foil?

You cut a piece of foil slightly larger than the design. Place foil, color side up, on top of the printed side of the design.
Place the foil on top of the card front (color side up) inside the folded parchment paper (enclosed). Next, you put the sandwich in a warm laminator. If you use the crease as the lead edge it’s good to have no wrinkles.
Remove the project from parchment paper and peel the foil transfer sheet away to reveal a foiled design!
I always like to cut out the shape later.

On both cards, I used a rainbow of colors with the flock.

How can you transfer flock?:

Cut a piece of flock slightly larger than the design. Peel paper liner off the front side of foam design to expose adhesive. Place flock (color side facedown) onto the adhesive and run through a manual die-cutting machine. Next, you peel away a flock sheet from the foam design. Now it’s ready to be used.

I love how the rainbow colors stand out on the glitter background.

After the first card, I could no longer hold it, so I also made a second card.

For this, I used the same techniques, but only a few different products. Be sure to check out the supplies lists below, because everything is listed there.

Even though it’s the last day of the inspiration week, nothing will stop you from scouring the blogs of the design team members again.

Thank you for giving us more tips on foiling and flocking. I know that this has been addressed before but we tend to forget which procedure to use. Very helpful.
