Hello to everyone! We finally had our first snowfall where I live, so it’s fitting that today I pulled out the Gina K Designs StampnFoil Baby It’s Cold Outside set! I used some Fancy Foil and mixed together some Glitz Glitter Gel for this fun and festive card!

Create a Glittery Background

Let’s start with that glitzy glittery background! I wanted to have the look of a flurry in the background and the Rina K Designs Sending Sunshine Stencil was just perfect! I sprayed the back with Pixie Spray and added it diagonally onto my card base using some 1.5″ Purple Tape to mask off the rest of the stencil.

Mix Glitz for a Custom Color

I took a bit of Red Velvet Glitz Glitter Gel and a bit of Grass Green Glitz Glitter Gel and mixed them together on my palette for a festive custom color of Glitz Glitter Gel! I love how it turned out! The green and red mix together perfectly! I can’t wait to do this with other colors, too! I used a Stencil Pal to spread the Glitz Glitter Gel mixture over the stencil and set the panel aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

I love how the snowflakes from the Baby It’s Cold Outside StampnFoil layer together! The coordinating Baby It’s Cold Outside Foil-Mates Detail Sheets are just amazing and simple to use. There are detailed instructions on the back of the packaging and I was able to easily follow them. I like to get my laminator good and hot, so I turned on my machine while I was working so it would be ready when I was finished.

Stamp Your Snowflakes

I chose which snowflakes I wanted to stamp from the Baby It’s Cold Outside Stamp Set and lined them up on the Foil-Mates Detail Sheet and stamped them in both red and green ink to match my background. I chose the coordinating die from the Baby It’s Cold Outside Die Set and die-cut the snowflakes using a bit of Purple Tape to make sure my dies didn’t move during cutting.

Now it’s time to add the pretty foil! I chose Gina K Designs Glimmering Gold Fancy Foil and added the foil on top of my stamped and die-cut images. You want to be sure that the toner on the Foil-Mates Detail Sheet touches the back (silver) side of the foil. Then I ran it through my laminator and I had pretty stamped and foiled snowflakes!

I stamped a sentiment from the Baby It’s Cold Outside Stamp Set with the same green ink that I used for the snowflakes and bubble cut around the sentiment. I added the majority of the snowflakes to the card with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive, but I popped a few of them as well as the sentiment up with iCraft 3D Foam Squares.

I hope you picked up some fun techniques today! See you soon!

Would never have thought to mix to two colors of Glitter Gel together as would have thought it would come out brown like you said but it was pretty. Loved your card.
