Hi, it’s Mona here and today I have a step by step card tutorial with the fabulous Wishing You Joy Stamp’n Stencil Set by Gina K. Designs which I spiced with Lawn Fawn stamps and images. I am going to use the beloved Glitz and Glitter gel in various colors as well.
Christmas Cards with Glitz
Check out the step by step instructions for this project below. I hope you will like it.
Ink Blending
I started the cardmaking with ink blending. I used the Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks over the Wild Lilac Premium Cardstock by Gina K. Designs.
Glitz Glitter Gel
Next I sprayed on the Wishing You Joy stencil with Pixie Spray and placed it on the blended background, and put on it the beautiful Brilliant Blue Glitz Glitter Gel with Deco Foil Stencil Pal. I let it dry and cleaned all my used supplies.
Next I stamped the images from the Wishing You Joy stamp set with my MISTI to a white cardstock. I have used a pink and teal hybrid ink pads for stamping.
Wishing You Joy Stencil
Once the stamping was done I put on it silver Glitz Glitter Gel with Deco Foil Stencil Pal through the Wishing You Joy stencil, let it dry and repeated my cleaning process. Once the ornaments and leaves were dry I ran them through my die-cut machine with the coordinating dies.
When it was done, I stamped the super cute bears from the Lawn Fawn, Beary Happy Holidays with dark blue inkpad. I made a basic and quick coloring on them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them. Next, I die-cut a white snowy hillside with the Lawn Fawn Hillside Border Die and stamped on it the Merry Christmas sentiment with the same blue Inkpad.
Next, I started to put together my card with Tape Runner XL adhesive. I also wanted to add more dimension to the colored images so I put on them a quarter inch 3D Foam squares and I styled my card.
I have another version from this card, but with warm tones. I made the same process, just with warm-toned Distress Oxide Inks like the Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry.
I have used the White Glitz Glitter Gel by Gina K Designs. Instead of cute bears, I have used Ginger Bread Cookies which I made with Lawn Fawn Stamps as well.
In the end, I put my cards together and I fell in love with the amazing sparkle that I created with my favorite Glitz Glitter Gels!
I hope you have enjoyed my inspirations for today. If you have any questions about this project, feel free to ask in a comment. As always you can find the used supplies below. See you next time, Mona.
