Fall Leaf Wreath Project Instructions:
I used a foam wreath that I wrapped in burlap ribbon. I found twigs in my yard and tied them on with floral wire.
For the leaves, I painted the Light Weight and Heavyweight Mixed Media sheets with acrylic paint, let them dry and cut out the leaf shapes on my Silhouette. On my silhouette, I used the fabric setting with a blade depth of 7 and a speed of 5 (you could probably get by with a depth of 5 or 6).
Then I just spread a little DecoFoil™ Liquid Adhesive glue on each leaf with my finger. I let them dry until tacky, added the foil on top, and ran it through my Big Shot to help press the foil into the glue.
Finally, I stitched over each leaf with my sewing machine and brown thread.
And here it is hanging on my front door. I am so pleased with how this came out and will be using this technique of foiling on the Mixed Media sheets again!
