Hi! It’s Lisa Ruble from Quilty Zest and I hope you’ll join me and my 10-year-old Benji in our next Facebook Live in the Therm O Web Craft Room Facebook Group! Join us tonight at 7:30 PM CDT, May 21st, as we share our new favorite teacher gift – the Patchwork Pen Holder! With the end of the school year just around the corner (one week left for us!), are you searching for the perfect teacher gift?
This is a great project to make with a kid – they can be the designer, placing fabric scraps on the “canvas,” which then is wrapped around an empty can (just like those kindergarten art projects we all remember, minus the construction paper!).

We used scraps from my new Find Your Way fabric collection, in quilt shops now. And I just happened to have Sparkle Paste in coordinating colors, so we added a little glitter accent! This project is quick and easy to make, and a fun end-of-the-year teacher gift – something to sit on a desk and hold all those fun colored pens!

Here’s a look at the supplies we used:

HeatnBond Liquid Vinyl
HeatnBond Sparkle Paste
HeatnBond Lite Sewable
HeatnBond Craft Fusible Interfacing
HeatnBond Pressing Paper
HeatnBond Fabric Fuse

Hope to see you tonight in the Craft Room! Don’t forget to join the Therm O Web Facebook Group prior to our live by clicking here and answering the questions to join!
