Happy December my sewing friends!!! Today I have a project that requires no sewing! It’s such a fun way to personalize some boring old aluminum foil pans and turn them into really adorable treat boxes. I don’t know about you, but I love gifting some home made treats to my neighbors and this year I came up with a plan to make them look a little prettier than just a purchased gift box! You’ll love this project… lets do it!
You can view, download, save or print my FREE and easy to follow tutorial and pattern by clicking here!
For this project you will need the following supplies:
- Fabric Scraps (sizes will be listed on pattern)
- Option Trim, ie: pom-pom, rick-rack, ribbon
- Thermoweb HeatnBond Lightweight Fusible
- Thermoweb Pressing Paper
- Thermoweb PeelnStick Sheets
- Thermoweb PeelnStick Tape
Have you ever used the PeelnStick Sheets or PeelnStick Tape?? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used these products. They are super handy as well as incredibly strong adhesive so they really hold up. Both of these are items that I don’t let myself run out of!
Making these Treat Boxes is so easy and so fast and I have made a free printable pattern and tutorial for you to download and open here. Print it, or save it to your computer to use anytime you have an occasion to make a custom treat box!
I know you must enjoy gifting Treat Boxes too; aren’t they so fun to fill with a few favorite home-made things? We have bee hives on our farm so I gifted a jar of our honey, a honey serving stick, some of my home-made granola and my favorite thing ever… home-made orange rind candy! They all looked so fun and festive in the Treat Boxes.
Merry Christmas to all of my special readers on this blog! I wish I could bring you all a custom made Treat Box full of home-made goodies!
