Electro-Pop Aloha Card designed by Shemaine Smith

For this card I started with the stencil from Rina K Designs StampNStencil Stamp set Sending Sunshine and our new Blanco Transfer gel.

Let that for about 30 mins and then we’re ready to take some of Rina’s new Electric Pop neon enamel and place a sheet over the dried transfer gel and run through a laminator.

The results are so fun and easy to create with the neon enamel. It’s also great for die-cutting with our foam adhesive!

Next, I set that aside and create a background with the stamps in the Sending Sunshine kit. I just chose random colors and leaves to create a fun background on the cardstock.

Once I finished creating the background with stamps I cut the cardstock at 2×5.25 and I cut the transfer gel enameled cardstock the same size. I adhered it to a 4 1/3 x 5 1/2 piece of Gina K’s black cardstock and then mounted it to a white card base.

To separate the two designs, I used some washi tape from my stash and then I die cut the Aloha with the Bright Lights alphabet dies (sorry these are discontinued. I wasn’t aware of them when I used them but any alpha set can be fun)

I finished the card with the stamped flower and accented with Rina’s new Orange Glow Neon Glitz Glitter Gel.

To our dear Therm O Web Community,

Before we launch into all of the fun we have planned next week for our Flock Week, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this year, whether you’ve purchased our products, or given a “thumbs up” to our project tutorials, or left a friendly, positive message on social media.

We also want to thank you for doing your part to care for, support and protect one another as we all move forward through this challenging time. Our thoughts and hearts are with all of you.

In order to fight the growing spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Illinois has mandated the immediate closure of all non-essential businesses, including Therm O Web.  This means all of our employees will be sent home and we will not return until April 8 (as of now). We will keep you updated as things change.

We will still be online and available as follows:

  • Our website will continue to take orders, although we will not start shipping again until April 9 at the earliest. Retailers, please contact your account representative with any questions.
  • We will continue to offer blog projects, social media, videos and other online resources you can enjoy from wherever you are.
  • We will continue to monitor our phones and email as often as possible, although our response times will be slower than usual, and thus we apologize in advance for any delays.

Creative activities like card-making, scrapbooking, sewing and quilting are definitely a healthy outlet, so we encourage you to spend some time exploring fun new techniques on your own or with your families in the days and weeks ahead.

Social distancing doesn’t have to mean social isolation. The Therm O Web design team blog and the Therm O Web YouTube Channel are fantastic sources for inspiration, so get creative, share what you make with our online community on Instagram and Facebook, and please, please stay well.
