Happy spring!  Audrey here today to share an springy Easter layout page. Easter will soon be upon us, and I decided to get into the spirit of spring by scrapping last year’s Easter time photos.  I used lots of the new Mixed Media products on my page with some Deco Foil™ adhesives and foils.

Easter Layout with Mixed Media and DecoFoil™

Supplies:
Deco Foil™ Transfer Gel
Deco Foil™in Opal
Mixed Media Sheet – Light Weight
Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive

Easter Layout Instructions:

To begin, I used the new DecoFoil™ Transfer Gel and spread it through a stencil that had egg shapes on it.  Once dry (after about an hour), I ran it through my laminator with some DecoFoil in Opal.  I loved how the shimmer in the Opal foil has pastel colors and swirls…perfect for spring!

Then I used some mists to “paint” the background.  The foiled areas act as a resist and the color seeps through the white spaces.  The gel provides such a great texture with the foil!

Next, I cut out some egg shapes from patterned paper and from some DecoFoil Foam Adhesive using my Silhouette Cameo die cutting machine. I covered a few of the foam pieces with the Opal Deco Foil™ to pick up on the background color and texture.

I then used a Lightweight Mixed Media Sheet and my cutting machine to cut out a larger egg shape to ground my title and some of my embellishments.  I poked holes around the Mixed Media sheet (and through the paper) and then used white embroidery floss to hand-stitch.

Finally, I layered my eggs with some other die cuts, fussy cut flowers, and brads.

I love how spring this page feels and all the great textures and movement from the gel and foil colors!

Happy spring!
