Hello Friendship Card Instructions:
Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5.25 inches. Secure down on a protected surface with repositionable tape (washi tape will work). Place stencil over panel and also secure it down. Add DecoFoil™ Transfer Gel using a palette knife. Add Gel generously to cover all areas, but scrape off excess and return it to the container. The Gel should not be overly thick. The less ridges there are, the better the foil will adhere, so try to keep it smooth.
Gently peel away the stencil and clean it immediately. I use warm water and damp paper towels (I do not use a sink; I dip it in an old plastic Rubbermaid container, but just wiping the Gel away will work, as long as all of it is removed). Set this panel aside to dry for at least an hour.
Once the Gel is fully dry, it’s time to add the foil. Heat up the laminator. Place the panel along with the Lapis Watercolor DecoFoil inside a piece of parchment paper. Once the laminator is fully heated and ready, run the parchment paper through.
Peel away the foil. It will have adhered to any place the DecoFoil™ Transfer Gel was placed!
I left a small corner open (without the Gel) so a stamped sentiment could be added.
Stamp the peonies onto watercolor cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Then, use Spectrum Aqua Markers (these are watercolor markers) to color in, with the assistance of a waterbrush to blend. Trim out the flowers using scissors.
Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner, using VersaMark Onyx Black ink. This ink is nice and crisp and is the perfect contrast to the Lapis Watercolor foil!
Die cut some vines out of the Peel N Stick Toner sheets. Using the same technique as earlier, place in parchment paper with a Gold DecoFoil™ Transfer sheet. Gently peel off once it is out of the laminator.
Assemble the card. Add the front panel to a standard card base ( 4.25 x 11, scored at 5.5 inches) using the XL Tape Runner. Then, peel off the release tape on the back of the die cut vines (these need no more adhesives – they are already sticky!) and place them accordingly on the card. Lastly, add the flowers using 3D Foam Squares.
Using DecoFoil™ Transfer Gel makes DecoFoil Transfer Sheets even more amazing than before! It is so simple to create stunning designs!
