Paper pieced die cuts used to be something I did all the time! Today’s project makes me so happy because I combined all the good things in life! Haha! Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets from ThermOWeb, die-cutting, paper piecing, and snowmen! Snowmen are probably my favorite winter icon. They make me feel warm and fuzzy inside!

My card is inspired by the photo of the quilt above. Isn’t it gorgeous?! This pattern is from Lori Holt from her Vintage Christmas Pattern Book (isn’t it the cutest quilt ever!?!)

Snowmen Winter Card

I love the colors and the repeated lines of snowmen! I decided to use the pattern and piece together a large 6×6 card filled with snowmen. And I had the PERFECT die from Spellbinders in my stash. I gathered together some colors of Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets to build my snowmen. Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets die cut perfectly just like cardstock.

Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets

My favorite way to die cut the Flock Transfer Sheets is to first transfer them onto layering weight cardstock. I add pieces of iCraft 6×6 Double Sided Adhesive Sheets to cardstock and then add the flock pieces into the adhesive fuzzy side down and use the pressure from a die cutting machine to fully transfer the Deco Foil Flock onto the adhesive.

I transferred pieces of White Latte, Black Velvet, Ruby Red, Green Envy, and Orange Glow Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets to cardstock and die cut them with the Snowman die from Spellbinders. I love using die-cut pieces of the flock in place of cardstock because it has unexpected texture! Once I die cut enough pieces for four snowmen I used iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to glue all of the little pieces together. This is by far my favorite glue! It holds strong to a variety of surfaces! I picked out a piece of plaid patterned paper from Pink & Main and trimmed it to 5.5 x 5.5 inches and added it to a 6×6 card base.

I glued the four snowmen onto the card with iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive and a sentiment strip to the center of the card with iCraft 3D White Foam Squares to complete my card. I hope you are inspired to piece together some fun designs using Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets! See you soon!
