If you need help sewing a zipper pouch I have very detailed instructions with lots of photos here on my blog. Before sewing the basic zipper pouch, you want to top stitch the faux leather in place across the bottom or in the corner of each bag, depending on which version you’re making.

Next you’ll want to adhere the gold foil arrows and hearts onto the bag. Here’s how I like to apply Deco Foil.

heatnbond lite
Trace the arrows and hearts onto Heat n Bond® lite and cut them out approximately 1/4″ from the pencil line.

deco foil applique
Iron these onto the foil, using your hottest setting. Trim to the pencil line.

Deco Foil
Peel off the backing from the fusible web, arrange and iron into place. There’s a thin clear liner on top of the Deco Foil™, peel that off after the foil has cooled. If your making the bag with the velveteen heart, sew it on top of the arrow before moving on.

If you make one or more of these, please tag me or share the photos, I would love to see yours. I can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest as Jennifer Jangles. The fabric used in this tutorial is from my A Walk in The Woods collection from In The Beginning Fabrics.
