Hi Friends!
Today, I am sharing a fun Father’s Day card using Deco Foil Duo (or Blanco works great too!) with Deco Foils with you all that’s a sure-fire winner in Dad’s book. Let’s get started, shall we?
Dad Card with Deco Foil DUO
I started my card by creating my background. I ink blended Distress Oxide Ink in Festive Berry, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed onto my card panel. Next, I sprayed the back of my sun-ray stencil with Pixie Spray to hold it in place and applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo. To apply my Transfer Gel, I used my Stencil Pal to get a nice even coverage.
Coloring with Copic Markers
While my background was drying, I began working on my images. I stamped my superhero boy and dog with a Copic friendly black ink and colored them with Copic markers. Once they were colored, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Now that my Transfer Gel has had enough time to dry, I ran it through my laminator with an Orange Sketch Transfer Sheet to finish my background. I love the look the foil gives my background, the perfect amount of shine without being overpowering.
To finish my card, I die cut a vellum circle and placed in the center of my card panel with a little iCraft Ultra Bond Adhesive. Next, I attached my images and sentiment to my card front with Gina K Foam Tape to give them a little dimension. Lastly, I used my Gina K Permanent Adhesive Dot Runner to attach my card panel to my A2 card base.
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed my card and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
