Jennifer Jangles here bringing you a fun Jack O’lantern project made from an embroidery hoop. You could make this with any size hoop you have lying around.
First sketch out some eyes, a nose, and a mouth for your pumpkin on some Heat n Bond® Lite. Iron it on to some black fabric, cut the pieces out. Cut the orange fabric to be just a bit bigger than the hoop itself and arrange the face onto the center and pressed in place.
On the back iron a piece of HeatnBond® Fusible Fleece and then start top stitching.
Using orange thread and go up and down to create the pumpkins shape as well as attach the fabric pieces to the pumpkin. You can see how it was sewn in this close up.
Once it is sewn set it aside and sew a stem from two rectangles. Loosen the hoop and arrange the pumpkin into the center of the hoop. just before tightening it all of the way slide in the stem at the top. Trim the excess fabric around the edge of the hoop.
Using Thermoweb 3-d foam squares, stick the stem to the top f the hoop to stabilize.
You’re finished!
