Hey there Therm O Web fans! This week we are teaming up with Basic Grey to bring you some fabulous projects. I was super excited to work with Grand Bazaar and Second City for my projects. First up, this shadowbox. A coworker commissioned me to make this for his wife for their 20th anniversary. What a guy, right? He provided me with some pictures and I got to work. I thought the bright colors and florals in this collection would be fun to use.
3D foam squares were a must for this project! And what’s fun is that you can add as many layers as you want to really increase the dimension. I also used my electronic die cutting machine to cut the title out of patterned paper and added it to the spread with the Tape Runner XL.
Even though the chipboard adhesive was plenty strong, I still decided to use some SuperTape underneath as I wanted to make sure this project was archival and would stick for the long haul!
Next up, the Second City collection. What more perfect way to use this line than for some Vegas pictures? I decided to go with a pocket page for this one and the journaling card patterned paper was perfect for it.
SuperTape was perfect for adhering down these fab chipboard letters. I adhered them directly to the photo before inserting in the pocket.
I also added some enamel dots to the outside of this pocket, and used my sewing machine to attach the acetate 2.
Again, SuperTape is my BFF when I’m doing pocket pages! I used it again for this wood veneer piece. Sometimes I also use it to adhere embellishments to the outside of the pocket if they are bulky.
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week!
