Hello and Happy Quilt Market, from Sew Incredibly Crazy.  If you are like me, since I have started quilting it has been a dream to make it there.  Well, I won’t be there, but I can share a little of what is.  My newest obsession, creating pincushion top hats.  It is so fun to hold your pins in a one of a kind cushion.  The Moda Manderley lends to getting those creative juices flowing and works perfectly for this seahorse themed pin cushion.  The fabrics are so fun and beautiful.

To create this, I used several different Thermoweb products.

They are:

iCraft® Mixed Media Adhesive – used on the beads for the starfishes and the spools to glue the bead on it. (I absolutely love this glue)

HeatnBond® Ultrahold – for the Starfish, Seahorses, and the brim of the top hat

HeatnBond® Craft Extra Firm Non-Woven Interfacing –  for the top hat crown and brim

Glitter Dust™ in Silver – for the wooden spools

With a few hours of play time, you can allow yourself to let your imagination go wild. No one said you had to be young to play.

I guess I got a bit lost with the salt in the title. Did you fill this with sea salt? It looks awesome though.

Where do I get the pattern for this tophat pincushion?
