Howdy, it’s Jamie Mueller of Sunflower Quilts back with a fun project for Mom, Teacher or a special friend!
Project Supplies:
1 Fat Quarter- Outside Fabric
1 Fat Quarter- Inside Fabric
3- 18” X 22” Thermoweb StitchnSew™ Fleece Sew-In High Loft
1- Fat Quarter- binding
Thermoweb SpraynBond® Basting Adhesive
Project Instructions:
1. Lay inside fabric wrong side up. Lay all 3 Thermoweb StitchnSew Fleece Sew-In High Loft pieces down on inside fabric. Lay front fabric right side up. Spray baste with Thermoweb SprayNBond Basting Adhesive all layers.
2. Machine quilt a 1” diagonal grid. Remember to use your walking foot and seam guide.
3. From the quilted piece cut a 10” X 13” rectangle. Round corners using a small plate for a template.
4. From the fat quarter for binding cut 3 bias strips to equal 50” of binding. Sew binding to quilted back piece. Press and machine stitch binding to front along the edge. If you need help with binding, check our tutorials on our YouTube channel @SunFlower_Quilt.
5. Fold quilted rectangle in half lengthwise and stitch 2” from top along binding side and bottom, following previous binding stitching.
