Crazy For Easter Place Card Instructions:

Cut a sheet of white cardstock into pieces 4 1/4″ wide by 5 1/2″ tall and stencil them with the Starburst Deco Foil Stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel.  Allow the Transfer Gel to dry till clear (about one hour) and then run the stenciled cardstock through your pre-heated foil laminator with Shattered Gold Deco Foil Transfer Sheets.

Ink each of the foiled place cards with some spring/Easter colours of your favourite ink (Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord and Mustard Seed Distress inks were used here).

Stamp one of the Crazy Cats onto white cardstock with black ink and clear emboss the image.  Using a water brush or paintbrush, paint the image with water-based inks (you could also colour the image with your favourite markers if you prefer).  Die cut the stamped image with the coordinating die, cutting a second set of eyes and popping them up on some small Zots clear adhesive dots.

Run a piece of Deco Foil Toner Sheet through the foil laminator with Plum Deco Foil Transfer Sheet and then stamp the bunny ears onto the foiled toner sheet with permanent grey ink.  Immediately sprinkle on some bronze embossing powder, melt the powder and cut out the ears.  Adhere the bunny ears onto the die cut Crazy Cat with iCraft Mixed Media adhesive.

Mark the midpoint of the stenciled and foiled place card and position the die cut cat where you want it, making sure part of the cat runs ‘wild’ above the middle fold of the place card.

Replace the cat with the coordinating Crazy Cat die and hold it in place with a piece of Purple Tape.

Position the edge or end of your die cutting machines cutting plate along the middle fold of the place card so that the cutting plate is only underneath the part of the die that is above the fold.  Hold it in place with more Purple Tape.

Make the recommended sandwich for your die cutting machine and run it on through.  The die will only cut through where it is sandwiched in between your cutting plates.

Turn the die cut place card over and use a stylus tool to score the card along the middle fold.  Don’t score where you have die cut the Crazy Cat image.

Turn the place card to the right side and gently fold along your score line.  The die cut Crazy Cats tail will extend above the fold line.

Adhere your coloured Crazy Cat die cut to the front of the place card, lining up the die cut tails.

Repeat the entire procedure for the rest of your place cards, using whichever ‘Crazy’ critters you want!

Make up some nameplates for each of your place cards, either writing the names out by hand or if you have very bad penmanship like me, write them out on the computer.  Trim the names to size and edge the nameplates with the Deco Foil Adhesive pen.  Allow the adhesive to dry till tacky (just a few minutes) and then rub on some Deco Foil Transfer Sheet (Champagne was used here) to give them a worn gilded edge.

Adhere the nameplates to each of your place cards and they are all done, time to move on to the gift card holders.

Crazy For Easter Gift Card Holder Instructions:

Select some spring/Easter colours of scrapbook paper from your stash, choosing pastel shades of greens, yellows and mauves.

Select a Deco Foil Stencil (this one is Pinwheels) and use Deco Foil Transfer Gel to stencil the design onto the coloured cardstock.  Allow the Transfer Gel to dry till clear and then run it through your pre-heated foil laminator with a coordinating colour of Deco Foil Transfer Sheet (I used Champagne Deco Foil on the yellow cardstock).

Repeat the process with the other colours of cardstock, using coordinating colours of Deco Foil and any of the other Deco Foil Stencil patterns.  Plum Deco Foil with the Swirls stencil and Jade Deco Foil with the Abstract Circles stencil were used here.

Die cut each of the stenciled and foiled cardstock sheets with the Pocket With Scalloped Edge die and assemble them as instructed to make your gift card holders.

Stamp and clear emboss the coordinating Mini Crazy Dogs, Cats and Birds images onto the coloured cardstock and die cut the stamped images.  Stamp the Mini Crazy Things bunny ears onto coordinating colours of foiled toner sheet (Plum, Jade and Champagne were used here) and die cut the bunny ears, adhering them to the die cut critters.

Stamp an Easter sentiment onto the coloured cardstock, cut the sentiment to size and edge with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and Champagne Deco Foil as was previously done for the nameplates on the place cards.

Adhere the die cut Mini Crazy critters and the Easter sentiments to the front of your gift card holders with iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive and they are done.

Here are a few close-ups of the completed Crazy For Easter place cards and gift card holders.

Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing how they came together and that you’ll get Crazy For Easter with Deco Foil too, have fun!
