Let’s Get Started on those Treat Boxes

First thing, I turned on my laminator to heat up because I knew I couldn’t wait to foil these awesome toner sheets! Then I chose the different designs and foil colors that I wanted to try. Once the laminator was heated up I ran the foil and toner sheets through together. They look soooo good!

Ink Up those fun Toner Sheets

Next, I chose some ink colors to blend on the foiled toner sheets. I specifically used dye ink so that it would soak into the paper and not have that chalky feeling pigment inks can leave. I tried inking these up in different ways. Some are darker on the edges while others are inked with just one color. Then on one pattern, I thought it would be fun to play on the stripes and do red, white, and blue. Have fun with it and try different things. You never know what you’ll love in the end.

Use a Pillow Box Punch Board

Once everything was inked, I used my We R Memory Keepers pillow box punch board to turn these sheets into boxes. For this, I didn’t trim the toner sheets at all, just followed the directions on my board with the size as is. I think they worked beautifully! Plenty of room for fun treats, maybe even a gift card and some extras!

After they were all punched, I put them in my splatter box and splattered a little black acrylic paint on each of them for fun texture.

Stamp Your Images

Next, I stamped images from both stamp sets on white cardstock and colored them with my Copic markers. I used the scan-n-cut to cut them all out and set them aside.

Stamp Your Sentiments

Then, I stamped sentiments from Kindness on Purpose and stamped them on white cardstock as well. I used Trinity Stamps embossed edge circle dies to cut two of them out and Pink & Main oval layer dies to cut the other two.

I took a moment to reinforce all of the score lines on my boxes, added scrappy tape to the edge, and folded them all up. Then I used ultra bond liquid adhesive to add my images to the sentiment panels. The two circles are adhered to the front of the pillow boxes with more liquid glue to ensure they stay put but the ovals are adhered to strips of ribbon from my stash with a tape runner. I have found over the years that this works wonderfully and stays put! Once the ovals are stuck down to the ribbon, I wrapped it around the box and tied a bow at the back. It’s super cute and just another fun way to close these boxes up.

I hope you found some inspiration to create something wonderful and will give these awesome new products a looksy! They are super cute and so much fun! I can’t wait to try gift tags and maybe coordinating cards next!

Have a fabulous day!
