It’s Julia from Inflorescence Designs! I’m so joyful you are visiting today. This week’s theme is “Down the Rabbit Hole.” I am celebrating this week by using Riley Blakes fabric line “Down the Rabbit Hole,” and showing you how to make an adorable coffee cup bowl.
I love coffee cups. For those who do not know, my post secondary schooling background not only included fiber arts, but my other concentration was pottery. I love making ceramic cups and bowls and I have finally made one in fabric form just for you. Enjoy!
Coffee Cup Bowl
Supplies:
- Coffee Cup Bowl PDF Pattern
- HeatnBond Medium Weight Fusible Interfacing: Main cup and bottom interfacing
- HeatnBond Craft Extra Firm Fusible Interfacing: Lining cup and bottom interfacing
- HeatnBond Fusible Fleece:8″ x 1″
- SpraynBond Pattern and Stencil Spray (Optional)
- Oliso Iron
- Cutting Mat and Rotary Cutter: I am using Olfa
- Coordination Button
- Needle and Thread (I like to use upholstery thread for sewing the button on)
- Fabric
- Riley Blake’s Down the Rabbit Hole: Tea Party Multi, Mad Stripe Blue and Caterpillar Floral White
- Handle: 9″ x 4″
- Main Cup Fabric: 6″ x 25″
- Lining Cup Fabric: 6″ x 25″
- Main Circle Bottom: 4″ square
- Lining Circle Bottom: 4″ square
- Binding: Personal preference but I used 2″ binding
