Alright, alright! It’s Spring already! And it’s almost the end of April! WHAT?! Somebody, please explain to me how Winter can drag out forEVER and yet Spring zips by in a flash. I just don’t get it. I have a Spring-y layout to share with you created using some Glitz Glitter Gel and Deco Foil Flock that I paired with three amazing goodies from Newton’s Nook!

Cherish These Memories Scrapbook Layout Details

Let’s begin at the very beginning, the top of the layout. The primary feature here is this floral semi-circle; Newton’s Nooks Floral Roundabout stamp that has been embossed and die cut with the largest, stitched, scalloped die from the Circle Frames Die. To tie this into the color palette from the Brave and Bold collection from Amy Tangerine, I used a Deco Foil Adhesive Pen to apply flock to a sprinkling of the flowers. Aren’t those flocked flowers amazing? Don’t you want to just reach out and touch them? I love how the ThermOWeb product enables you to add texture to a page and engages another sense other than vision.

Following the movement of the layout, your eye is then drawn to the center of the layout. This features an ongoing cascade of circles. Some of which are created using Distress Oxide ink that has been blended through the Bokeh Stencil set from Newton’s Nook as well as Glitz Glitter Gel applied through the second of the two stencils in the set. One of the best parts of these stencils is the ability to apply layers of mixed media to your projects. Also housing the title is another of the five circular /scalloped dies from Newton’s Nook.

Flocked hearts cut using the heart die from the Circle Frames Die using Teal Waters Flock Transfer Sheets allows for some darker color that balances the weight of the black in the title and other locations. A trio of these guides your eye down to the bottom of the page, finishing off with a Glitz Glitter Gel bokeh circle and the final of the three flocked hearts.

I do have a process video that shows you how to use the DecoFoil adhesive pen to apply flock to a stamped image as well as the bulk of my creative process. Unfortunately, I had technical issues with the stamping and embossing of the stamped image. Otherwise, everything else is visually demonstrated and explained via video, just click below.
