Hi! Chrissie here and I am beyond thrilled to be sharing this project I created for Therm o Web! I love to die cut, but sometimes I feel like my die cuts are, well, boring.  I was stuck in a rut with them; every time I would cut some, they would be all one color or just cut from patterned paper… Nothing really out of the box or new!

Don’t get me wrong – there is nothing wrong with that, but I wanted to try something fresh and different! Enter the DecoFoil™ Adhesive Pen. Squee! This pen allows me to get all artsy! I can use it basically “color” adhesive on my dies and then add DecoFoil™ to only the areas I want.  This was literally my favorite product I played with at CHA this past January, so finally being able to use it made me super happy! And, even better – I was really pleased with the final result!

I was so excited about adding a foil-type ombre effect to my die cut, I created a video, sharing how I did it.  I also used some other fantastic Therm o Web adhesives with foil, too (sometimes when I start, I just can’t stop!).  Please check it out below and remember, for more inspiration, follow Thermoweb on Instagram!

Thanks for stopping by!

Here’s a little bit about Chrissie:

Chrissie 2016I work full-time as Graphic Designer/Pre-Press Operator at a small print company in the Chicagoland area. I have always been involved in some aspect of art my entire life. From oil paints and watercolors as a child, to paper crafting and digital art as an adult, rarely a day has gone by in my world that doesn’t include art! I am an Alumnus of a national Art School, where I graduated with Honors and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications. I started papercrafting shortly after graduating High School, but I ended up just hoarding supplies and not completing any projects. But, a few years ago, my love of papercrafting was rekindled when I was invited to scrapbook at a friend’s house. I have been obsessed ever since!!! The name of my blog comes from my love of Autumn and everything Fall (and it helps that I have an Autumn birthday, too!).  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to create with Therm O Web products!

*Look for more projects from Chrissie all this month as she joins us as a Guest Designer!
