Hello there, Shemaine here today. The holiday push is on as we are less than a week away from Christmas. Anyone else still making holiday cards like me? Well, today I am sharing some inspiration for New Year’s and last-minute Christmas cards with transfer foils and card fronts from Brutus Monroe.
Be Merry Cards with Brutus Monroe
Let’s start off the inspiration with a Celebrate card. It’s almost the new year and this card says let’s celebrate!
Celebrate Card
Using the Really Radiant card fronts and Pewter Ripples transfer sheet, I foil a couple sheets to use for my cards.
I also foiled some toner sheets with gold static transfer sheets.
I cut a border to use for my card.
Next, I embossed a strip of white cardstock.
Using a sticker, I adhere it over the embossed cardstock. Then I adhere to the card base and also the foiled toner sheet. Next, I layer the border strip with adhesive strip tape.
Cutting a circle die, I layer to the card base and adhere the Celebrate sentiment with UltraBond adhesive and then finish with some decorative stars.
Peace Tree Card
For the next card, using a toner sheet and some green sketch transfer sheet I foil and die cut the tree die from Brutus Monroe
Taking the foiled toner card front I adhered it to the card base.
Then I layered the foiled tree and adhered it to the card base with 3D foam squares.
Next, I stamped some sentiments from an older Simon Says Stamp set.
Next, I cut them all out to color.
Using the 3D foam squares. I adhered the Peace sentiment to the die-cut tree.
The finished card is fun and festive!
Merry Shaker Card
For the last card, I wanted to use the same die but a different design. So I decided to try out a shaker card using the die-cut tree on the inside of the shaker.
I started by foiling the toner card front.
Next, I backed it with some of the green cardstock I used on the first card. I then placed the tree die-cut in the center and cut it out so the silhouette would be cut out in the center. Then I adhered a piece of the clear designer toner sheet.
Using our foam jumbo roll 1/8 inch I adhered 2 layers to the back of the card base.
Next, I cut out the tree die with a toner sheet foiled with Green sketch transfer foil and backed with easy cut adhesive.
Peeling off the backing of the easy-cut adhesive and centered in the card base for the shaker.
Sprinkling a variety of shaker items in my stash, I placed the back of the card over the foam.
The result is a super fun shaker! I hope these cards will inspire you to get out your Therm-O-Web supplies and create some last-minute cards too!
