Cacti Inspired Party Instructions:
This was such a fun project to put together. Using my Silhouette Cameo and Deco Foil I was able to create various decor items for my Paint Party.
First, let’s start with the little centerpieces. I cut two of each cactus shapes, front and back from Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™ Backgrounds – Polka Party and Gina K Designs Foil-Mates™ Backgrounds – Stars & Stripes. Next, cover it with one of Green Deco Foil and run it through your pre-heated laminator.
Using Sticky Tape Mini Runner™ adhere them front to back and insert them into each other using the cut slots. They stand up on their own.
The Prickly Pear popcorn box was created in my Silhouette Studio and cut out from cardstock. Before assembling the box I added tiny dots all over the front using Deco Foil™ Liquid Adhesive 2.1 . Once it dried I added one of green shades of Deco Foil and ran it through the laminator. I adhered the box together using Sticky Tape Mini Runner™.
Everyone in the party received little watercolor palette. I wrapped each one with twine and added a little journaling tag. I gathered green tags from my stash and layered each one with hearts cut from left over Deco Foil, tags, washi and sequins. I stamped cacti in planters on watercolor paper, colored them and cut them out. They are adhered to the front with Sticky Tape Mini Runner™ and 3D White Foam Squares.
Using the same cactus shape I cut several in different sizes to create a banner. Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™ Backgrounds – Polka Party are covered with Foil. I created flowers that I cut out of Deco Foil™ Toner Sheets and run through the laminator using Deco Foil™ Transfer Sheets – Summer Rainbow.
Other personal touches for the table are cactus decor items from my stash including watercolor samples of cacti, Saguaro cookies, tiles to hold watercolor paper and watercolor and brushes.
