I started this layout by watering down a bit of the yellow Chroma Glaze and using the smooshing technique with a piece of clear acetate across a sheet of white Vicki Boutin Foundations paper. This created a nice yellow mixed media background for everything else to sit on. I then added some purple splatters with some Nuvo spray and then went to work on my butterflies while this was all drying.

I foiled some of the Brutus Monroe toner card fronts with the Purple Sketch foil sheets using my laminator. I also pulled out my Blanco Transfer Gel and made some butterflies with the Magical Monarchs stencil and when that dried applied Purple Sketch and Green Sketch foil to those. I found they were missing their antennae so I then just stamped around some of them using the stamp set with some distress inks and used the coordinating dies to cut them out! EASY EMBELLISHMENTS!

I then added my photo, backed with a piece of the patterned paper from the PhotoPlay Paper Go Outside and Play collection, and I also added a border to the page with the same paper. I’ve distressed the edges of my photo layers and added some more bits from the PhotoPlay collection around my title! I chose to title this “Spring-A-Saurus” because this dinosaur is in the spring and it is also spring season here so there’s multiple puns intended there!

Lastly, I did some stamp stitching around my page with Elle’s Studio stamp set to finish it off!

There is a process video here if you’d like to see how this came together!

Thank you for being here today and I hope I was able to inspire you to create!
