Haunted Home Decor with Brutus Monroe

Heather Collins who does double duty…designing for us AND working for Brutus Monroe has a fun Halloween project we know you’re going to love!

Haunted
Created by Heather Collins

I am in love with the new collaboration by Deco Foil and Brutus Monroe.  The two new foils are simply amazing and the toner sheets are my favorite ones yet.  I wanted to create a project that just might haunt you.

To start this project I coated a wooden sign with a coat of Brutus Monroe White Gesso and then two coats of black paint.   I set this aside to dry and took two panels of the new Brutus Monroe Toner Sheet – Leaf and ran them through my laminator twice using the new Brutus Monroe Transfer Sheets – Copper Ripples.

Using a Misti, ‘Brutus Monroe Cardstock-Alabaster’ and ‘Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink’ I stamped out ‘Beware Blvd.’ and “Spooky Kids’ stamp sets.  Then I colored them and cut them out.

Before attaching my items I ink blended two orange and one yellow inks by ‘Pink Fresh’ to give my sign a glowing effect.

Putting the project together was easy using 3D Foam tape and double-sided tape by iCraft.  Using iCraft Ultrabond Liquid Adhesive. I added some Spanish Moss too. To finish my canvas I attached it to a 12×12 blank canvas.

This will allow this canvas to be used throughout the holiday season, whether it is on a wall, a snack table or by the doorbell for Halloween night.
