Hello there! Today I’m sharing a set I designed that would be great for a boy’s room – although it would be easy to re-create this in any theme simply by swapping out the papers. Used a bunch of different adhesives on this project starting with SuperTape to adhere the papers securely to the sides of the glossy white paper surface of the drawer unit. I added tape along the outer edges only to prevent the paper from wrinkling. By the way, all of these projects were created using a single 12×12 kit from Me & My Big Ideas called Boys Will Be Boys.

I found that the Memory Tape Runner XL worked really well for adhering the smaller pieces of paper to the drawer fronts.

I used the SuperStik Glue Stick to adhere the even smaller pieces of paper used to embellish the drawer fronts, such as the green alphabet paper layered below the turquoise dot here. I choose the SuperStik whenever I want to give myself a bit of wiggle room when lining up papers as it takes a minute or two to set. Craft Zots are great for adhering chipboard elements to paper when you want to add just a little bit of dimension… they are thicker than the Memory Zots, but not as thick as our 3D Zots.

….

This dino sticker came with a googly eye already attached, but it is easy to give other stickers personality by adding googly eyes using one of the tiny Zots for Bling.

Sometimes stickers come with foam adhesive already attached… I love to mix up the heights of dimensional adhesives to add extra interest…. try stacking two foam squares on top of each other (as I did on the “Rough & Tough” sticker).

In addition to the set of drawers, I covered a $3 lampshade from IKEA with matching papers using SuperTape.

I also used my SuperStik Glue Stick to cover an inexpensive photo mat with scraps of paper left over from the other projects.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope these projects gave you some ideas for using your paper stash to create one-of-a-kind pieces for your home. Until next time…
