Hello everyone, this is Audrey Yeager, and I was so excited to be able to get to work with the Chelsea Market collection from Blend Fabrics to create a quilt for Quilt Market.
I wanted to share a little of the behind the scenes that went into making this quilt you may have seen at the Anna Griffin booth at Fall Quilt Market.
Blend Fabrics Drunkard’s Path Chelsea Market Quilt
I really wanted to focus on the large watercolor floral prints (Yorkshire Blooms). I used a simple Drunkard’s Path block because I thought a curved seam would create soft edges to complement the floral designs.
I always spray baste my quilts with SpraynBond Basting Spray. It is fast and easy!
I pieced and quilted the quilt with some coordinating threads from Aurifil. I traced the circles and then followed the shape of the negative spaces for my quilting.
The back I pieced with some remaining scraps.
A comfy, cozy quilt that is perfect for my sun porch.
