Bee Happy

by Heather Collins

This project could be any easier.  Sometimes one just needs to create to escape for a little bit from the world and this project gave me just that moment.  And who doesn’t love bees…well crafty bees at least.

To do this project I took a ceramic egg and painted it with a mixture of paints; yellow, orange, sparkle and rose gold.  I had first painted the egg with chalk white paint so that beehive paints could sit on top of the ceramic instead of sinking in. And let this dry.

After the paint was dry, I took iCraft Easy Tear Tape 1/8” and put on the egg in 2” sections on the high points on the eggs.  I rubbed the tape down with my finger and a pointy tool.  Then took off the protective covering and then took the Transfer Foil – Gold Static and laid it shiny side up and rubbed it so that it transferred to the sticky tape. The trick isn’t to take too much protective covering off so that you can work on one or two of the strips at a time.

After this was all done, so was the base. I believe in layering projects and to do so I added artificial flowers and bees.  This also cover any areas that may not be to your liking also.
