It’s Becky from Patchwork Posse here. I am participating in the Banner for Hope which will be on display at the CHA. I won’t be there in person, but I am so happy to have my banner surrounded by others.
The idea is to share a bit of happy, peace, support, and love…or whatever else you’d like to add to help those in challenging circumstances. During CHA they will be hanging on display for all to see.
Hope always reminds me of spring flowers. How they peak out of the ground just at the time when you have totally had it with winter and can’t handle one more cold day! The bright green contrasting with the frozen hard ground is what I look forward to each year.
Going with that inspiration I came up with a simple flower and leaf design.
I used ricrac for the stem of the flower and a crocheted flower for the center. For the petals and I cut hexagons and used HeatnBond Lite with a zig zag stitch around the edges.
These small banners when displayed will be awesome all together. What a powerful message to those around us.
