Backyard Colors Scrapbook Layout Instructions:
When working with Deco Foil, it’s always best to turn your laminator on before you start your project or right at the beginning so when you are ready to use it, it’s warmed up and ready to go!
Die cut circles and rings of different sizes out of the Clear Designer Toner Sheet using metal dies and a manual die cutting machine.
I decided while doing this, that I wanted to use that negative piece from where the circles were cut out. Cut a piece of Jade Deco Foil that will cover the larger negative die cut. Place a piece of cardstock, the die cut and the Jade Deco Foil with the color side up thru a laminator.
Removed foil carefully. Foil the circles with Pink Melon Deco Foil. Do not foil the rings, they will be used just as they are.
Here you can see below, where the rings were not foiled. Since I had added bits of black in the layout, I decided to leave them as they were to tie the black into all of the layout.
Piece together the layout using the Mini Sticky Dot runner and the Memory Runner XL.
For the title, use the iCraft Deco Foil Foam Adhesive and trim it to fit the larger letters. I doubled the adhesive up and then used it, I wanted a little more lift than just a single layer gave to the letters.
To finish, apply the negative foil die cut in the bottom center and add die cuts to fill the cutouts. Punch butterflies of different sizes. Fold them slightly and use the iCraft Mixed Media Liquid Adhesive to just the center of the body and apply to the layout. This will give them a look of flying with the wings being raised. Doodle around the outside of layout and in your title if you like, and then add journaling.
I just love that Jade Deco Foil color that was just released and it paired perfectly with the paper collection!
