Hello there! It’s Andrea back with you today, and I have a pair of cards featuring the gorgeous Floral Fantasy Toner Card Fronts and Brutus Monroe Deco Foil…perfect to send out during the fall season!
Autumn Mice Cards with Brutus Monroe
Those Toner Card Fronts reminded me of falling leaves, and I thought they would be perfect for some fall cards. I paired them with the adorable images from Newton’s Nook Designs’ Autumn Mice stamp set. For both cards, I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
Small Moments
I kept my first card fairly simple. I mean, with card fronts that beautiful, you don’t really need much!
Creating the Background
I chose this card front because the foliage reminded me of the wheat that cute mouse is perched on. Using my laminator I transferred the Copper Ripples Deco Foil to the card front. I die-cut the panel with a scalloped die.
Creating Flocked Diecuts
I love to add flock to diecut elements – it’s so easy and gives such amazing texture! I first applied Tuscan Gold Deco Flock to white cardstock with Memory Tape Runner Xl and then diecut several leaves.
Assembling the Card
I matted my foiled background with kraft paper and adhered it to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL. I die-cut two ovals – one pink and one blue – and layered them together with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen. I heat-embossed a sentiment from Autumn Mice and attached the ovals to my card with 3D White Foam Squares.
I popped up that cute mouse with foam squares and tied a gold string around my card. I adhered the flocked leaves with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen and embellished them with some gems, which I also attached with the pen. I just love how this card turned out!
Extra Mice Card
Toner Card Fronts are so versatile: You can make them match any project just by adding some ink. I gave this one from the Floral Fantasy Mixables a decidedly fall tone with distress oxides.
Ink-blending a Foiled Background
I foiled this card front with Pewter Ripples Deco Foil and then blended on Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides. Once I was happy with the blending, I gently buffed the foiled areas with a paper towel.
Assembling the Card
I added splatters of water and white paint to the foiled panel. Once that was dry, I die-cut the panel with a scalloped, rectangle die and adhered it to a white card with the Memory Tape Runner XL.
I die-cut the wreath from two shades of brown cardstock and layered them together with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen. I blended the center of a white circle with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide, adhered the wreath with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen, and attached the circle to my card with 3D White Foam Squares. I heat-embossed a sentiment from Autumn Mice, die-cut it and layered it onto a brown banner. I attached the banners and mouse with foam squares and finished with some gems adhered with the UltraBond Adhesive Pen.
