There is something about the comfort of my mother’s home that I miss. The kitchen filled with yummy smells, the family photos lining the walls and the way it takes me back to the days when just a reassuring “everything will be ok” smile made the day a bit brighter. Today this project celebrates “home”, wherever that may be for you and your mother this May.
To create this wall hang, begin with an embroidery hoop of any size.
Using Therm O Web’s fabric tape and strips of torn fabric, wrap hoop several times over until desired thickness.
Wrap fabric hoop with wire, add beads as you go.
Then create your scene with layers of Authentique papers that are perfectly paired for this shabby chic look.
