Hi! This is Jenifer here with you today to share some super easy Valentines coasters that you can whip up in your spare time for a cute gift or for yourself. Have you ever made a mistake that you thought was going to ruin your iron and set you into panic mode? This is what happened to me and let me tell you it is one of the coolest mistakes that I have made in a long time. My table can be a bit messy and when working on multiple projects at a time can get rather dangerous. This is what you get when a piece of HeatnBond Fusible Fleece and a scrap piece of Deco Foil meet an iron, pure beauty.
(Almost) No-Sew Valentines Coasters
Supplies
Deco Foil Gold
Felt
Aurifil Thread 50 wt thread #2620 White
(Almost) No-Sew Valentines Coaster Instructions:
Step 1: cut out two pieces of HeatNBond Fusible Fleece 5″x5″.
Step 2: Iron the Deco Foil on the Glue side of the Fusible Fleece. *Note: I use a used piece of foil and if I wanted a spot to have more foil I repeated this step, it seemed to work fine a second time but then not so much after the 3rd time.
Step 3: Peel back the foil and you get this awesome marbled effect on the fusible fleece.
Step 4: Cut a heart out of felt and sew it down in the center of the square.
Step 5: adhere the second piece of fleece to the back of the Deco Foiled piece. Trim if necessary.
You’re done, and you have a super cute valentines coaster. You could make these for any occasion, imagine them with a fun felt snowflake or tree on them for Christmas. I know I am not done with the Deco Foiled Fleece.
