Hello everyone! Justin here, and today I am showing off a card that I created for this week’s collaboration with Simon Hurley Create! This card was very quite simple to put together too!
You’re So Tweet Peacock Vibes Card with Deco Foil and Simon Hurley Products
I started by stamping out the peacock image from the Bird Buddies stamp set and coloring it with Copic Markers. This birdie was going to be the only image for my project, but was going to be paired with a stunning foiled background!
Simon Hurley’s Honey Hive stencil is just perfect for adding a foil element! This stencil is meant to be shifted and ink blended multiple times. My first layer is the Overzealous ink. My 2nd layer is Clear Skies ink.
And for my final layer, I applied Transfer Gel Blanco with my Stencil Pal, let it dry, and then used a heat transfer method to apply the Purple Foil Transfer Sheet to my panel. That background really channels all the peacock colors!
I also used the Honey Hive Stencil and embossed a piece of Blue Sky Flock, die-cut with a stitched scalloped circle die from my stash! I also blended some Clear Skies Ink on the edges as well!
I finished this card off with an embossed sentiment, propped up with some foam tape, and some iridescent bubble embellishments! I was completed!
I am so excited to also share that I will be creating this project in the Therm O Web Craft Room on Facebook on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 at 7 PM CST! Please be sure to join me for my very first live and for some foiling fun!
